Seasonality: When Are Peaches in Season?

Peaches are typically in season from late spring through early fall, making them a perfect ingredient for summer recipes like this one.

During peak season, they're especially juicy and sweet, which makes simple dishes like these skewers really shine.

Parma Ham vs. Prosciutto: What's the Difference?

Parma ham (Prosciutto di Parma) is a specific type of Italian prosciutto that comes from the Parma region and is protected by strict production rules. It's known for its delicate, slightly sweet flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Prosciutto, on the other hand, is a broader term for Italian dry-cured ham. While all Parma ham is prosciutto, not all prosciutto is Parma ham. Different regions in Italy produce their own styles, each with subtle differences in flavor and texture.

For this peach appetizer, both Parma ham and prosciutto work beautifully. Parma ham adds a slightly more refined flavor, while standard prosciutto is a great and more widely available option.
