About Us
A little about the creators behind Seasons in the Kitchen:
Welcome to Seasons in the Kitchen, where culinary adventures come to life through the lens of a dynamic husband-and-wife team. Grant, known as ‘the chopper’, handles the camera, edits, and manages the day-to-day blog operations, while Rochelle, ‘the stirrer’, is the creative force—developing recipes, styling food, and bringing Mrs. Organization's touch to the mix.
Rochelle's favorite meal is a margarita pizza with lots of fresh basil and a hint of chili, while Grant's culinary heart beats for anything meaty.
These foodies and novice wine pairers have lots of culinary experience between the two of them. Rochelle is a trained chef, while Grant boasts 25 years in various roles within the hospitality industry.
Their journey into the world of food and wine began with childhood interests that bloomed into a lifelong passion. Grant's youthful exploration of local restaurants and Rochelle's early days spent baking cookies in her aunt's kitchen set the stage for a shared love for all things culinary.
Like many, the pandemic brought significant changes to their businesses and lives, pushing them to adapt and move their endeavors online. Rochelle has the privilege of serving a few amazing food bloggers in her Pinterest Management business and Grant still consults and trains front-of-house staff for small hotels and restaurants.
In 2023 they decided to start Seasons in the Kitchen as a creative way to document their culinary adventures and share their passion with their friends and family (plus they missed working together.)
Their mission is simple: They aim to take you on a culinary adventure, teaching you the joy of cooking with seasonal ingredients, exploring diverse cuisines, and toasting every meal with a glass of exceptional wine.
What kind of recipes to expect:
Here you will find easy step-by-step recipes for every meal and occasion, from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to appetizers, desserts, drinks, and even some wine pairing suggestions. Rochelle finds comfort in Mediterranean flavor profiles and Grant is obsessed with Asian influences, so you can expect a melting pot of exciting flavors. They like to create lots of easy sheet pan dinners and during the winter they are married to their crockpot. Their recipes are mostly healthy, but they do like to include a decadent treat or two.

A little more about their background:
Their culinary journey unfolds against the backdrop of diverse experiences.
Grant's journey in the hospitality industry commenced at the age of 15, and over the past 2 ½ decades, he has immersed himself in various roles, evolving from a waiter to positions of management, ownership, training, and diverse Front-of-House responsibilities in both restaurants and hotels. This extensive experience has cultivated within him a deep love and passion for service excellence. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to imparting this 'heart of service' to others in the industry through training and encouragement.
Rochelle, a trained chef with a deep appreciation for farm-to-table dining, embarked on her culinary journey in a quaint pub in Surrey, UK, right after completing school. Upon the conclusion of her visa, she returned to her roots in South Africa to pursue further studies. Following graduation, Rochelle ventured into the culinary world, gaining experience on a wine farm, and exploring a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors.
These passions and experiences are what shape their approach to food blogging, infusing it with a blend of creativity, expertise, and a genuine love for sharing their culinary discoveries.
