Description

This watermelon frosé recipe is the ultimate summer wine cocktail made with frozen watermelon, raspberries, and crisp rosé wine blended into a refreshing frozen slushie. Light, fruity, and perfect for warm weather entertaining, this easy frosé recipe comes together with just a handful of ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

5 cups (500-600 g) seedless watermelon, cut into cubes and frozen
2 cup (300 g) frozen raspberries (frozen strawberries also work well)
Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tbsp / 30 ml)

1-2 tbsp honey, optional
2 - 3 cups (500 - 750 ml) fruity Rosé wine
Extra watermelon cubes or raspberries, for garnish
Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

1. Freeze the watermelon

Cut the watermelon into cubes and freeze them in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet for at least 4 hours or overnight.

2. Blend the Frosé

Add the frozen watermelon cubes, frozen raspberries, lemon juice, and about 2 cups of Rosé wine to a blender.

Blend until smooth and slushy.

Chef’s Tip: For the best texture, use very cold Rosé wine and fully frozen fruit.

3. Adjust texture

If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more Rosé wine. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen watermelon cubes and blend again.

4. Serve

Pour the Frosé into glasses and garnish with extra fruit and fresh mint.

Serve immediately.

Chef’s Tip: Choose a dry fruity rosé (like Grenache or Provence-style rosé) to complement the sweetness of the watermelon.
