Description

This Strawberry Gin Cocktail is as simple as it is refreshing—a quick mix of strawberry jam, gin, fresh lemon juice, and tonic water that delivers bright, fruity flavor in every sip. Light, balanced, and effortlessly elegant, it’s the perfect gin cocktail for sunny afternoons or special occasions like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.

Ingredients

60 ml (2 oz) gin

30 ml (1 oz) freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 tbsp strawberry jam

2 tsp sugar syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

Ice cubes

120 - 180 ml (4 - 6 oz) Tonic water, to top

Garnish:

Fresh strawberries

Fresh thyme or mint sprigs

Instructions

Shake the cocktail
Add the gin, lemon juice, strawberry jam, and sugar syrup (if using) into a jam jar with a few ice cubes. Seal tightly and shake well for 20–30 seconds until chilled and combined.

Strain and pour
Fill two clean 13oz jam jars or tall glasses with fresh ice. Strain the cocktail mixture and divide between the two jars or glasses.

Top and garnish
Top with tonic water to taste. Stir and garnish with fresh strawberries and a sprig of thyme or mint.

Strain into a pitcher and refrigerate. When ready to serve, add ice and about 3 cups tonic water, stir gently, and garnish with strawberries and thyme or mint.
