Description

Elevate your salads with this delicious homemade apple cider vinaigrette. Using simple ingredients this dressing brings out the best of fall flavors. Learn how to make it in just a few easy steps!


Ingredients

6 tbsp (90ml) extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp (30ml) raw apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)

1 tsp (5ml) wholegrain mustard (or Dijon mustard)

1 tbsp (15ml) raw honey

Salt and freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Whisk together all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. (Alternatively, add all the ingredients to a mason jar, seal it with a tight-fitting lid, and give it a good shake until well combined.)

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Taste and adjust with more honey or a squeeze of lemon juice if needed.

  4. Drizzle generously over your favorite salad.

Notes

Substitutions and Variations:

Use a different Oil: Avocado, walnut, or grapeseed oil offers unique flavors and textures.

Experiment with Vinegar: Balsamic, red wine, white wine, or champagne vinegar add distinct tastes to personalize your vinaigrette.

Swap Wholegrain mustard for Dijon mustard a milder or spicier flavor.

To make it vegan, replace honey with maple syrup.

Add fresh herbs, garlic, or shallots for extra depth of flavor.

Add some plain yogurt to create a creamy vinaigrette
