Description

Elevate your dishes with this delectable Garlic Herb Compound Butter recipe. Perfect for steak, veggies, and beyond, this easy-to-make condiment will add a burst of flavor to your favorite recipes. Learn how to create this versatile butter blend with fresh herbs, garlic, and a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

150g unsalted butter, softened

3 fresh garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Mix - In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and freshly chopped herbs. Season with salt and pepper according to your personal preferences.

2. Shape and Roll - Place the butter mixture at the end of a piece of parchment or wax paper. Shape it into a log, ensuring it maintains a cylindrical form. Fold the parchment or wax paper over the log, then begin to roll it, keeping the cylinder shape intact. Twist the ends of the parchment or wax paper to tightly seal the cylinder.

3. Rest and Chill - Allow the butter to chill for a minimum of 1 hour. This allows the aromatic flavors to develop and intensify.

Notes

Chef’s Tips: Always use the best quality butter you can find. Ensure the butter is at room temperature and cut into cubes for easy mixing. If using salted butter, add additional salt cautiously. For larger batches, consider using a food processor for efficient blending.

Storage Instructions:

Fridge - Store your Garlic Herb Compound Butter in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. This ensures it stays fresh and flavorful for all your culinary adventures.

Make Ahead Instructions - For added convenience, consider making a double or triple batch and freezing this flavored butter in portions for a rainy day.

To freeze Garlic Herb Butter, portion it into individual servings using an ice cube tray or shape it into logs wrapped in wax or parchment paper. Once solid, transfer the portions to a freezer bag, removing air before sealing. Label and date the bag, then store the butter in the freezer for up to 6 months.
