Description

Transform your salads with this homemade citrus vinaigrette. Packed with vibrant citrus flavors, this simple recipe strikes a perfect balance of tangy and sweet, giving your greens a burst of freshness.


Ingredients

4 tbsp (60ml) extra virgen olive oil

2 tbsp (30ml) red wine vinegar

2 tbsp (30ml) fresh orange juice

1 tbsp orange zest

1 tsp (5ml) wholegrain Dijon mustard

1 tbsp (15ml) honey

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 tsp (2.5ml) whole cumin seeds, toasted and crushed (or ground cumin)

1/4 tsp (2ml) ground cinnamon

Pinch of paprika

Salt and ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

1. Whisk together all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. Alternatively, add all the dressing ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid, and give it a good shake until well combined.

2. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Taste and add more honey or a squeeze of lemon juice if needed.

4. Serve with your favorite salad greens.

 

Notes

Storage Instructions - Keep your vinaigrette fresh by storing it in a mason jar or an airtight container in the refrigerator. It'll stay fresh and flavorful for up to 2-3 days.
