Description
This easy homemade tartar sauce recipe is perfect for seafood lovers. It features a tangy flavor with lemon juice, pickle juice, dill and Dijon mustard. Store it in an airtight container and use it as a dipping sauce for french fries, seafood dishes, or onion rings.
Ingredients
1/2 cup (125 ml) Greek Style Yogurt
1/2 cup (125ml) Mayonnaise
2 tsp (10 ml) Dijon Mustard
2 tbsp (30 ml) Pickle Liquid
1 tbsp (15ml) Lemon Juice
4 tbsp (60 ml) Cornichons, finely chopped
1 Green Onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp (15 ml) Fresh Parsley, chopped
1 tbsp (15 ml) Fresh Dill, chopped
Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions
Combine the Sauce Ingredients

Add Greek style yogurt, mayonnaise and mustard to a bowl and mix until well combined. Add the Pickle liquid and lemon juice and stir until creamy.

Add the rest of the ingredients and stir together until well mixed. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice if the sauce does not taste tangy enough

Season with salt and black pepper.
Refrigerate the Sauce

Transfer to an airtight container or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
