Description
This beet smoothie recipe is vibrant, creamy, and ready in just 5 minutes. Made with cooked beets, banana, and frozen mixed berries, it’s a naturally sweet easy healthy smoothie that works beautifully as a breakfast smoothie or quick afternoon boost.
Ingredients
1 cup (250 ml) almond milk (or milk of your choice)
2 small cooked beets, diced (about 150 g / 5 oz total)
1 banana, sliced
1-2 tsp (5-10 ml) honey or maple syrup, to taste
2 cup (300 g / 10 oz) frozen mixed berries
Instructions
1. Layer the ingredients
Pour the almond milk into the blender first. Add the diced beets and sliced banana. Drizzle in the honey or maple syrup. Finally, top with the frozen mixed berries.
Chef’s Tip: Always add the liquid first, then softer ingredients, and finish with frozen fruit. This helps your blender run smoothly and prevents it from getting stuck.
2. Blend until smooth
Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high. Blend for about 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
3. Taste and adjust
Check the sweetness and add a little more honey or maple syrup if needed. Blend again briefly to combine.
4. Serve
Pour the smoothie into two glasses. Garnish with a few extra berries or a sprig of mint if you like. Serve immediately.
